Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee
Dear Fellow MBEs,
It is my honor to represent you as the newly-elected Chairman of the MBE Input Committee (MBEIC) and member of the GNEMSDC Board of Directors. Thank you for your vote of confidence in my ability to build on the great momentum set forth by my predecessor.
I want to also thank everyone who was able to attend our 2012 MBEIC Kick-off meeting last month. The exchanges were honest, insightful, and, yes, sometimes even heated but, we learned a lot about the wants, needs, and desires of our MBES. Armed with this information, I am confident that we are pointed in the right direction. For example, we want to be able to:
- Establish "How to do business with. . ." programs with all GNEMSDC Corporate members;
- Introduce events that promote a more relaxed networking environment for MBEs and Corporate members to get to know each other;
- Identify more opportunities for MBEs to collaborate with Corporate members to "really close the deal,"
- And more. . .
However, the MBEIC Vice-Chairs and I can't do it without your involvement, support, and input. So I encourage you to become active with the MBEIC: join our subcommittees; attend our quarterly meetings and educational programs; communicate your ideas, needs, and concerns to us on an on-going basis; and, please, take a moment to read the information we communicate to you through this eNewsletter and eBlasts.
Our collective efforts can only benefit your company, MBEs across New England, and beyond. Thank you.
