Congratulations MBEs!
The Awards Gala weekend event was great! Magic Johnson shared some wonderful, very timely business entreprenureal tips that we all learned from. And our MBEs were recognized for their achievements as vendors. Here are our winners this year:
• Gary Stiffler, President & CEO of the Matlet Group was winner of the 2010 MBE Empowerment Award.
• Brenda and Carlton Oneal of Light Speed were the winners of the 2010 GNEMSDC Category 1 Supplier of the Year.
• Alexis and Derek Brooks of Inside Cable were the winners of the 2010 GNEMSDC Category 2 Supplier of the Year.
• Abulkhair Islam, CEO of AI Engineers was the winner of the 2010 GNEMSDC Category 3 Supplier of the Year.
• Warren Thompson, CEO of Thompson Hospitality Services was the winner of the 2010 GNEMSDC Reciprocal MBE of the Year.

The purpose and mission of the MBEIC is to provide advice and guidance to the programs operating under the auspices of the GNEMSDC and to conduct such other activities that the Committee adopts in the furtherance of its goals to enhance minority economic development, provided such actions do not impair the 501c (3) tax-exempt status of the GNEMSDC.

We are looking for people like you, fellow MBEs, who would like to commit to helping one another and by volunteering to be a part of this wonderful group. The only requirement is that you join one of our sub-committees.
