Tom Davis

Vice President

External Supplier Diversity Cartus

 

 

Tom Davis was promoted to vice president, external supplier diversity in 2002. Tom’s career started with Cartus in 1979 and he has held several progressive positions including manager, regional accounting; director, quality assurance; director, finance and accounting; and director, supplier diversity. Under Tom’s leadership, Cartus has been recognized by the Greater new England Minority Supplier Development Council (GNEMSDC) as its Corporation of the Year in 2004 and 2007. The U.S. Small Business Administration recognized Cartus for its outstanding efforts and accomplishments in supplier diversity and awarded Tom its 2006 Minority Small Business Champion of the Year award.

 

Tom, the former Chairperson of the GNEMSDC board of directors is the current board secretary, and is the first vice chairperson of the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC) national chairperson’s committee.

 

He holds a BS in accounting from the University of Bridgeport, a MBA from the University of Connecticut and a Certificate in Executive Leadership from the Hartford Graduate Center.

 

Tom’s leadership extends into the community as a member of the NAACP and Concerned Black Men for Youth.
